FULL AND CO-OWNERSHIP
Bahia del Sol offers full ownership condominiums in studioS, one bedroom or two bedrooms. As a full-time owner you have the options of either living in your condominium throughout the year, a few months at a time or renting it to friends, family or acquaintances. Bahia del Sol also offers a rental program for all our full and fixed time owners. There are various outside third party rental companies available as well.
For those who feel that they cannot afford a full-time condominium, Bahia del Sol offers co-ownership. Simply stated, this is an actual real estate investment in which you own the property in part for a minimum of one month each year. This alternative to full-time ownership comes with all the rights and privileges of a true real estate investment – in Mexico. This concept was designed for those who are looking for a second home, vacation home or a retirement home, but do not want the hassles or costs associated with full-time ownership.
As a full-time or fractional owner, you will receive a deed to your condo as it relates to the months that you own (not weeks like Time Share). Full-time owners after receiving their deeds will be required to follow the standard Mexican real estate procedures for ownership by acquiring a Fideicomiso Trust. Co-ownership deeds are not available until the complete condominium has been sold.
When Bahia del Sol was original built in 1988 we began selling Timeshare memberships and we will continue to be a timeshare resort until the last contract expires. Bahia del Sol is associated with Resort Condominiums International (RCI), which is an exchange company offering over 4000 resorts worldwide. We also offer ICE Gallery Inc, which is a cruise-exchange program.
